A dark room with reality imprinted in it becomes the Wunderkammer
for Paolo Pecora’s brand. The section of a circular structure, which is
taken from the ancient design of an existing darkroom, transforms the
room into an intimate and enveloping space. The clothes are kept in
precious glass and wooden cases, transforming them into memorabilia that
can be admired, touched and worn. The soft light and dark tones of the
first environment are reduced and are rendered stronger in the following
space, where the denim line finds its formal synthesis into an elegant
bedroom.
Sections, refractions and assemblages of antique armoires,
dressers and mirrors are reinventing the space for casual clothing and
accessories. The restored oak floor becomes the unifying element of the
two environments. The original design was made more contemporary through
colours – in the missing portions resin cement fragmented material are
inserted.
